My family and I had a terrific stay at Wickham House, everything worked very smoothly and Matthew is a great host. We all very much miss the front porch. We wish we had one at home. A 10 out of 10!

We stayed at Matthews home during a family visit. There was plenty of room for everyone and the house is well appointed. We came during the winter so we didn’t get to enjoy the porch, but the cozy wood stove made up for it. Would definitely come back for a summer stay!

We drove all over the state of Vermont to see the fall foliage, and it was so nice to come home to a warm, clean, and excellently located home each evening. The town of Manchester itself has great restaurants, sights and shopping, and Matthew’s Wickham House was comfy, home-y, and charming.

Our family of eight adults stayed at the residence for a destination wedding and these accommodations couldn't have been more perfect. The house is was spacious enough that it never felt crowded at all. We really wanted for nothing and were happy to see many items in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms that we were not expecting. (Having the mini flashlights on the bed stands was a great idea!) There was not a single complaint in our crowd. We spent many hours on the front porch during our off-wedding times, just relaxing and catching up with our family. There is truly nothing I would change about the property and we felt so lucky to find such a quiet, comfortable, well appointed place to stay.

I recently got married near Manchester and luckily the Wickham House was available for my parents and extended family to stay and it was absolutely perfect! Self-check in was a bonus as we weren't arriving until late in the day, and was seamless with Matthew's instructions. Communication with Matthew was also super easy - we had some questions prior and during our stay and Matthew responded immediately and was super helpful. The house had everything you could possible need, and was super comfortable with more than enough space for 6 adults. Would definitely recommend for large groups traveling to Manchester!

Great location. However to be clear you don’t have the whole house. Rather just the front. Also all the baths are shared.

Matthew’s house is filled with history (and modern conveniences!). The library is spectacular and all of the rooms are large, tastefully decorated and comfortable. We had more than enough room to spread out. Loved sitting on the porch in the mornings! Matthew is one of the most responsive hosts we’ve rented from. We really enjoyed our stay. (And when the reviews say “sparkling clean...” it really is!!!)

This is the 2nd summer Matthew has hosted our family. Our experience was so wonderful last year that the decision as to where to go this year was very easy—return to The Wickham House! Manchester Village is the epitome of a quaint New England Village and Matthew’s home is the perfect home. It is large, comfortable, equipped with all the modern necessities a family wants or needs. Matthew is incredible. He is caring, considerate, available and communicative. The location of this historic home affords guests the opportunity to experience Manchester at its finest. Charm abounds with gorgeous mountain views, wide white marble sidewalks perfect for strolls or jogging and the dreamiest porch, complete with rockers for sipping coffee in the morning or wine in the evenings. The location is perfect. It’s a quick walk to the spa or golf course or a number of locations for dining. The grocery store is a 1/2 mile away—important when traveling with children. Thanks to Matthew and his lovely home our family continues to build wonderful Manchester memories.

This is an amazing old home that has all the modern amenities you’d expect. Great beds. The living areas are all large and well appointed. We had 8 in the home and there was plenty of room for everyone to have private space if they wanted to. You can not beat this location being 3 doors down from the Equinox hotel. The owner is also environmentally conscious and has installed solar panels with large Tesla batteries. The kitchen is set up to allow cooking or baking and has good cookware

We had a delightful stay at Wickham house, enjoying the large rooms, super comfortable beds with high quality bedding and pillows. Lots of room to spread out with 4 large BRs and an expansive dining/living room area. We enjoyed the rockers on the front porch watching the sun set over the mountains. The location is super being a 1 minute walk to the Equinox house, 5 min walk to Taconic Hotel and 15 minute walk to hiking trails. 5 minute drive to the bustling village of Manchester with many outlets and restaurants. Short drive to sunny Bromley mountain!!

Our family of 5 just got back from a weekend stay at Matthew’s house to ski Stratton. We were very pleased with the house, just as we expected. The house is tastefully decorated, cozy and comfortable. Plenty of space for everyone to get a good night’s sleep. We found the radiators a bit tricky to regulate temperature, but that is to be expected in an older home. The house was very clean, and the kitchen had what we needed. The location is great, convenient to a lot of things. We would definitely stay here again!
